Welcome to the homepage of Brigg and District Royal British Legion. We are a
newly re-formed branch and we are administered by Lincolnshire County.
The Royal British Legion is the nation's leading Armed Forces charity,
providing care and support to all members of the British Armed Forces
past and present, and their families. It is also the national Custodian of
Remembrance, and safeguards the Military Covenant between the
nation and its Armed Forces. It is best known for the annual Poppy
Appeal, and its emblem the red poppy.
Meetings
Monthly meetings are held on the last Wednesday of each month at
the Black Bull Public House, Wrawby Street, Brigg. Meetings
commence at 19.30hrs.
Membership of The Royal British Legion is available to all adults, not just members or ex-
members of the Forces, and we always welcome new members. Drop in and see us at our
monthly meetings.
Events
The Branch held a Pie and Pea supper with Disco recently. A very big thank you to all
businesses and donors who provided raffle prizes. The Star prize was a weekend in a town
house in Nice, South of France. Also up for auction were some signed celebrity items from
the cast of EastEnders.
